New to the billionaire ranks, Jensen is the owner and CEO of Linak, a Danish firm that is a world leader in making linear actuators and devices that convert power into linear motion. Creating products used in industrial equipment, furniture and healthcare equipment, the company was set up in 1907 by Jensen's grandfather as a manufacturer of pulleys, grinding mills and forges.
A graduate of the University of Southern Denmark with a degree in mechanical engineering, Jensen joined the company in 1976 with a great enthusiasm and idea for a new product. The product in question became the linear actuator which Linak started selling in 1979.
