Onwuachi is one of several celebrity chefs that the Mets have partnered with to bring their culinary delights to the ballpark, as the days of hot dogs and Cracker Jack have given way to deluxe hamburgers, tomahawk steaks, and in the case of Onwuachi, a curried chicken patty.

  • “I didn’t think about it. I just started with the food and that was it,” Onwuachi told The Post about the process for deciding what he wanted to create for baseball fans. “We have a halal cart here, we have pizza, we have steak. We’re chefs and we start with the food, and you can eat anything while you’re sitting down, right?” 

    The new stand from the proprietor of the restaurant Tatiana in Lincoln Center and Dōgon in Washington D.C. will be called Chef Kwame’s Patty Palace and features a “flaky patty filled with chicken curry and served in coco bread, topped with green sauce, jerk bbq & ginger cabbage slaw.”
