Joy Mangano has successfully sold self-wringing mops, velvet-lined hangers and non-toxic cleaning sprays. Now, she wants to sell her Long Island house.
Mangano, whose entrepreneurial life story was portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence in the 2015 movie “Joy,” recently relisted her 9-acre Nissequogue estate this month for $14 million.
Mansion Global first reported on the listing.

The estate, located along Long Island’s north-shore Gold Coast, consists of three structures spanning over 20,000 square feet. The gated property, known as Swan Manor, boasts views of Long Island Sound.
The Gilded Age mansion was originally designed in 1917 by Stanford White, the architect behind the marble memorial arch in Washington Square Park.
As one would expect with this queen of clean, the house appears immaculately maintained in listing photos. Kyle Roskot at The Agency holds the listing.
In addition to 14 bedrooms and 14.5 bathrooms, residents at Swan Manor enjoy what Roskot called “resort style living,” with a large indoor pool, a massage room and a sauna.
The property also includes a wine cellar and tasting room, a tennis court, a separate three-bedroom guest house and additional staff quarters.
“It’s one of a kind,” Roskot told The Post. “It’s truly a spectacular estate.”

This is not the first time the shopping channel star has tried to sell Swan Manor.
Mangano purchased the mansion in 2000 for $1.35 million and relisted it in 2022 for $20 million. Mangano told the Wall Street Journal at the time that she had dreamed of living in a “big mansion” as a young girl and had spent millions renovating Swan Manor.
Within a year the listing price dropped by more than 20%, down to $15.75 million, before it was ultimately taken down last summer.
Mangano could not be immediately reached for comment.
Mangano, 69, famously made her fortune beginning in the ’90s with the sale of the Miracle Mop, for which she invented a self-wringing mechanism for easy clean-ups without getting your hands wet.
The same year Mangano purchased Swan Manor, her company reportedly sold $10 million worth of Miracle Mops, according to the New York Times.
Mangano’s venture was loosely portrayed in the movie “Joy,” for which Jennifer Lawrence nabbed an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win. Previews for an off-Broadway retelling on Mangano’s story, “Joy: A New True Musical,” begin this summer.
