“They couldn’t be happier to expand their family, and Matilda has been doting on her younger siblings,” the insider said, referring to Williams’ eldest child, daughter Matilda, 19.
The Post reached out to Williams’ rep for comment.
The news comes on the heels of Williams and Kail stepping out together for the New York City premiere of the star’s new FX on Hulu show “Dying for Sex” on Wednesday.
Williams — who nabbed the lead role in the dramedy — wore a lavender chiffon gown, while the director, 48, donned a classic black suit. Williams plays a woman with terminal cancer who decides to go on sexual escapades after receiving her diagnosis. The series is based on a podcast and the real story of Molly Kochan, who passed away in 2019 at age 45.
Williams and Kail tied the knot in 2020 after meeting on the set of the FX series “Fosse/Verdon” in 2018.
The couple are also parents to son Hart, 4. They were expecting their second child together in 2022 when the actress took a moment to gush over her pregnancy.

She told Variety, “It’s totally joyous.”
“As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It’s exciting to discover that something you want again and again is available one more time,” Williams continued. “That good fortune is not lost on me or my family.”
A year later, Williams got candid about starring in Steven Spielberg’s personal family drama “The Fabelmans” after giving birth to her third child.
“My heart obviously belongs to my children; they tug at it the most,” she said. “But I really want to be able to have both [family and a career]. And I think that it requires deep thought and learning and the support of other women to figure out how to get through it.”
After the birth, a source told Us Weekly how Kail had become a constant presence in Matilda’s life throughout the years.
“Matilda is a very mature and intelligent young lady,” the insider said in 2022. “They wouldn’t change a single thing about their life together.”
Williams, who has dated Jason Segel, Spike Jonze and financial consultant Andrew Youmans, was previously married to musician Phil Elverum before her romance with Kail. The exes secretly married in 2018 and split the following year.
“I never gave up on love,” she told Vanity Fair in 2018. “I always say to Matilda, ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes.’”
