One of the richest people in Russia today, Mr. Nogotkov controls the privately held retailer Svyaznoy, Russia's second-largest cell phone merchant. Nogotkov made his career beginnings selling computer programs, but later on, he saw a better opportunity in selling cordless phones.
Blessed with a great sense for business, he dropped out of college to focus on developing his business trading cell phones wholesale before switching to retail. Next, he founded an online store called Enter and became owner of a jewelry shops chain under franchise from Danish company Pandora. In 2010, Nogotkov also set up a bank, Svyaznoy Bank.
